Distt hospital administration responsible for Covid deaths in Poonch: AJKYF | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, May 18: All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF), Executive Committee Member, Romaan Showket Manhas accused district hospital Poonch administration responsible for Covid deaths while issuing a press statement over the increase of casualties and hike in COVID-19 cases in the district. While addressing the press conference, Romaan said that he is an eyewitness to the negligence being done by the hospital administration as no doctors are available to take care of the patients even the CMO, Poonch is running away from his duties, only technical and paramedical staff members are being pushed forward to treat the covid patients with inappropriate equipments but doctors remain absent from their duties. He further said that it is very unfortunate that in every corner of the nation doctors are putting their lives in danger to serve the mankind and to come out from this pandemic by taking pledge to serve till their last breath but simultaneously doctors in district hospital Poonch are playing opposite role which is putting the lives of general public in danger. Romaan Showket Manhas added that ventilators which are received in the name of PM care fund are lying unused from the very first day because of which people are suffering a lot and have to rush to GMC Jammu for their treatment resulting in havoc in the health services. Recently Poonch has lost many young people due to doctors’ negligence and still no action against them has been taken, district administration is also silent against them. The money which has been received till date for covid treatment and management is unused as nothing has been seen on ground since 2020. AJKYF, executive committee member appeal Lt. Governor J&K to form a special team of senior doctors for having a special visit in district Poonch to review the medical facilities and services available for patients and medical staff and to take prerogative steps to cover and fill up the deficiencies with immediate effect. |
