Samba, May 21: The 30th death anniversary of ex-prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was performed at Vijaypur under the chairmanship of Babal Gupta – Working District President Samba and Ex- Councillor alongwith party workers.
The wreath ceremony was concluded by garlanding the portrait of Rajiv Gandhi by Babal Gupta. The party workers paid tributes to Rajiv Gandhi. Babal Gupta while paying tributes highlighted the big reforms, decisions and achievements of Rajiv Gandhi i.e. right to vote to youth of 18 years instead of 21 years, start the age of computer in India, strengthen and empower the Panchayati Raj Institution, emphasize to invoke and innovate the modern technology opportunities in India.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi was young, dedicated, dynamic leader. He was visionary person. The period of Prime Ministership of Rajiv Gandhi was renowned as Golden period in history. With the emergence of modern technology as well as computer which had invoked the job opportunities for youths and due to this reason the India is known as Vishaw Guru in Software Technology.
Babal Gupta alongwith party workers distributes 100 bottle sanitizers and 500- masks among the poor and down trodden people and aware the public to maintain the SOPs issued by the Administration in order to win over the pandemic of 2nd wave of COVID. Babal Gupta appealed the general public stay at home and come out only when it is very essential need and emergency.
Babal Gupta also urged the administration to utilize the service of NGOs as well as volunteers in fighting with COVID so the precious lives can be saved. Dharam Pal, Raj Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Prem Lal also paid tributes to Rajiv Gandhi.
