| Cluster University of Jammu organized “Hands on Latex” | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22: Department of Mathematics School of Sciences , Cluster University of Jammu organized two days workshop “Hands on LaTeX” under the patronage of Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor, Cluster university of Jammu.
In this programme Prof. Bhupinder singh, Dean Academic Affairs was the chief guest. The programme started with welcome address by Prof. Sanjay Verma, Dean faculty of Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu. He welcomed the audience and in his speech he told that students have to continue their growth in study and they should learn new tools of mathematics.
Prof. Bhupinder Singh in his speech praised the Department of Mathematics for organizing such programmes and awared the students about importance of LaTeX in higher studies. Dr. Narinder Sharma, Coordinator Mathematics and Convener of the programme gave a brief introduction of theme of the workshop and different activities to be covered in the workshop.
He also thanked Jatinder khajuria, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu for always encouraging the department to organizing such events.
About 150 students including faculty members of various institutes attended the workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Sapana Sharma, organizing secretary of the workshop , Dr Sunil Sharma and Rohit Verma, members of organizing committee. The workshop concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Narinder Sharma. |
