GDC Thannamandi observe anti terrorism day

Thannamandi, May 22: In continuation to “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrating 75 years of independence, the college cultural and literary committee observed Anti Terrorism Day.
On the occasion a series of online events including pledge recitation, poster making and essay writing competition was organised.
In the first event a pledge was taken by principal, staff and students to fight against terrorism that is forces of disruption threatening human lives and values led by Prof Ajaz Nazir HOD Physics.
The second event was poster making competition that was ably conducted by NSS programme officer Nahim -un-Nisa in which large number of students participated.
Mehroon Sanam of sem 2nd and Miss Areej Fatima of 6thsem were declared first. While Cheshma Firdous of 6th sem begged 2nd and Mohd Naseer, Rahila Koser, Saba Jabeen and Hamaz Shabir Wani begged 3rd position respectively.
The judges of this online competition were Prof. Naveen Sharma HOD EVS, Prof. Ajaz Nazir HOD Physics, and PTI Dr Ibrahim Lone and the third event essay writing competition was organised by Prof. Fatima Qazi HOD Political Science on the topic “History and significance of Anti Terrorism Day” in which Samreen Tabassum from GDC Thannamandi declared first Akhlaq Ahmed ,Alisha Raina students of GDC Poonch and Mobeen Ali Shah of GDC Thannamandi secured second and Mudasar Maqbool of BGSBU and Anil Singh from GDC Ukhral secured third position.
The Competition was judged by Dr. Nahim-un-Nisa HOD Arabic Prof. Raheela Mushtaq HOD Zoology and Prof. Mohd Shoket HOD Education.
