| Online Essay Writing Competition held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22: The Department of Botany, GDC R.S. Pura organized an Online Essay Writing Competition to celebrate the “International Biodiversity Day” on the theme “We’re part of the solution For Nature”.
The event was organised under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. G.S. Rakwal. The activity was organized to sensitize the student about the importance and role of biodiversity in the nature.
Students enthusiastically participated in the competition and submitted essays highlighting the present state of biodiversity in the world and suggested different innovative ideas to mitigate the challenges of biodiversity loss.
Certificates will be provided to all the participants and the winners will be provided with momentos along with the certificate. Gayatri Devi, Sem IV bagged first prize in the competition whereas second prize was bagged by Poornima Jojra of Sem VI and third prize was jointly shared by Madhu Sharma of sem. VI and Vikas of Sem IV.
The event was coordinated by H.O.D(Botany), Prof. Bindu Kumari and adjudicated by Prof. Vishal Sharma and Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur. The Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of the Department and lauded the students for their active and meaningful participation . |
