Asha workers, FMPHWs get acquainted with COVID duties: ZMO Koti Chandyar | | | Early Times Report
BANI, May 23: Ahead of establishment of Panchayat Covid Care Centre at Koti Chandyar, the concerned ZMO Dr Rameshwar Singh provided comprehensive training to the ASHA workers and FMPHWs to give them orientation with regard to various assignments that these health workers shall be executing during the functioning of aforesaid Covid Centres. As per report, the aforesaid training module has been conceived and conducted on the directions of BMO Bani. Dr Rameshwar Singh said that under this training programme, the aforesaid health workers were given hand on experience on handling oxygen cylinder, oxygen concentrator, oxymeter, RAT testing and in wearing Personal Protection Equipment kits. It is pertinent to mention here that soon every Panchayat will have a 5 bedded Corona Centre with one bed having all the prerequisite facilities including oxygen provision. Dr Rameshwar Singh said that the training of health workers was necessary because they will be assigned with the duties of taking care of patients admitted in the aforesaid centres and if this staff is bereft of basic knowledge to handle the situation there would be complete chaos. “It is agonizing that despite the sincerity of these health workers in accomplishing their jobs with complete dedication they are not getting their salaries since long. The government is indifferent over the issue despite number of representations and appeals,” Dr Rameshwar said.
