| GDC Akhnoor organizes essay writing competition | | |

Akhnoor, May 23: To celebrate International Day for biological Diversity, Govt. Degree College Akhnoor has invited students virtually from different colleges to participate in an online essay writing competition on the theme “Biodiversity Loss and Covid 19: Impact of the Corona Virus Pandemic on Biodiversity Conservation”. The event was organized by Prof. Pooja Devi, EBSB Nodal Officer under the guidance of noble guidance of Principal Dr. Namarta, GDC Akhnoor. The competition, which is open to college students in all fields of study, was an important opportunity to encourage youth to voice their ideas and to engage with issues of importance to the country as well as their day to day lives.
The main objective of the competition was to bring youth students close to the biodiversity issues and to find out the necessary measures to conserve biodiversity for a better and healthy future. The students from different colleges across the J&K UT participated in the event and shared their valuable ideas to preserve every scrap of biodiversity. After the completion of the event, e-certificates were awarded to participants. |
