Webinar on ‘Precautions for home isolation during Covid-19’ organized

JAMMU, May 25: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB) Udhampur in coordination with Press Information Bureau (PIB), Jammu, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized a webinar today on ‘Precautions for home isolation during Covid19’ by involving prominent doctors of district Reasi.
The webinar completely focused on the precautions to be taken during home isolation in case of contracting Covid19 so that others could be safe and doesn’t get infected. The doctors also emphasized on the importance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour among masses to decrease the positivity and fatality rate across district Reasi.
In her welcome address, Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, Regional Outreach Bureau, J&K & Ladakh and Press Information Bureau, Jammu said that the biggest aim of conducting this webinar is to spread awareness among masses vis-à-vis precautions to be taken during home isolation in case of contracting Covid19.
In his address, Medical Officer, Ayush, Reasi, Dr Arun Gupta while briefing the audience on the important precautions to be taken during home isolation said that the Covid19 patients, both symptomatic and asymptomatic must isolate themselves in a separate room, if possible with a separate toilet and restrict themselves from contacting people living with them especially the old aged and children.
Replying to the queries and questions asked by the audience on the role of Ayush as a game changer in Covid19 times, Dr Arun Gupta said that the Indian System of Medicines has emphasized in Covid19 times on the boosting of immunity among the masses because the Covid19 is most prevalent among those who have a compromised immunity. Almost all the Anganwadi Workers, Asha workers of district Reasi joined this webinar and many shared their experiences while dealing with the Covid19 pandemic in their respective wards.
Besides other officers and students, Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag, Shahid Mohammad Lone, Media and Communications Officer, PIB Jammu, Sheikh Mudasir Amin, Field Exhibition Officer, Jammu, Adil Shameem Andrabi, Incharge Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri, Gurnaam Singh & other officers of Ministry of I&B were also present.
The webinar was moderated by Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur.
