NSS Volunteers of GDC Darhal join Young Warriors Movement | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 25: All the NSS volunteers of GDC Darhal joined “Young Warriors Movement” to tackle COVID-19, an initiative by the Ministry of Youth affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, YuWaah and UNICEF. Principal of the College Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia told that the students of the college enrolled as NSS Volunteers were quite enthusiastic to take part in such a movement which is supported by Government, Civil Society, UN agencies and Private Sector. He said that NSS has a greater role to play in such conditions because all such health related issues are in the suggestive list of activities of NSS. He appreciated the role of NSS Programme Officer of the College Dr. Ather Aziz Raina for his wholehearted support and guidance to the NSS Volunteers in joining such a pan-India movement. Dr. Raina told that he has motivated the students to act as young warriors to mobilise, connect, learn, influence and lead action against COVID-19. He said that all the NSS Volunteers of GDC Darhal has been registered as Young Warriors and they are now ready to create awareness and help their families, neighbours and general masses from virus which is leading to the death of young and old alike. He also told that these young warriors shall be making use of Internet and Whatsapp groups to create awareness regarding vaccination, use of masks, sanitizers and social distancing. |
