District administration conducts Orientation programme for PRIs of block Kishtwar

Kishtwar, May 25: To aware the elected PRI members of block kishtwar about their role and responsibilities in the establishment of 5 bedded isolation centres in each panchayat, District administration Kishtwar headed by DC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today conducted an orientation programme for the PRI members of block Kishtwar here at conference Hall DC office Complex Mini secretariat Kishtwar.
BDC chairman kishtwar Suresh sharma, ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi,ACD kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch,CMO Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas,BDO Kishtwar sheetal sharma besides various sarpanches of block Kishtwar remained present in the meeting.
In the begining CMO Kishtwar apprised the participants about the current COVID Scenario in the district in general and in the block Kishtwar in particular.
During the programme DC said that on the instruction of Hon'ble LG, J&K Manoj Sinha,the district administration has initiated the process of establishment of 5 bedded isolation centres at all the panchayat in the rural areas across district and 95 CC centres have been established so far out of total of 236 panchayats and the rest will be completed soon.
He informed that these isolation centres will have one oxygen supported bed and are meant for those patients who do not have the isolation facility at their home.
He further informed that 1 lakh rupees have been dedicated for the purpose out of the district Capex budget.
The establishment of these centres will be monitored by the PRIs which include the sarpanches and panches of that panchayat hence he urged the sarpanches and other PRIs to play an indispensable role in the establishment and operationalisation of the these centres at each centre for the earliest completion of the same.
DC Kishtwar further informed that in the block kishtwar the process for the establishment of the 5 bedded CC centre is going on in full swing in all the 12 panchayats of block Kishtwar and the process will be completed within few days.
In this regard he urged all the sarpanches and panches to actively participate in the mobilisation of men,material and other resources in the establishment of isolation centres at the identified places in coordination with the concerned agencies.
Laying stress on the cent percent vaccination of the target groups he urged PRIs to aware the people to get registered and administered with the vaccine for the effective containment of the virus,he further added that district administration is ramping up the pace of Vaccination in the district.
He further asked PRI to educate the masses to adopt the COVID appropriate behaviour, and follow the guidelines issued by the govt from time to time besides appealed public to co-operate the Adminisration in the effective implementation of the corona curfew in letters and spirit as the risk is still looming globally.
