Advisor Bhatnagar visits Covid Care Centres in Jammu, Udhampur

JAMMU/UDHAMPUR, May 27: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, today conducted an extensive visit of different Covid Care Centres of Jammu and Udhampur districts to review various Covid control measures in these twin districts besides he took review of overall functioning of District Hospital Udhampur.
During his visit, Advisor Bhatnagar inspected the facilities at Covid Wellness Centre at Youth Hostel Nagrota and directed the officers to keep all necessary medical supplies available there so that the patients can be provided required treatment as well as other possible medical care there.
The Advisor also visited newly established Panchayat Covid centre at Panjgrain, Nagrota and reviewed the arrangements put in place there. He directed the officers to establish all the facilities at the centre as per the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. He asked them to keep the oxygen available for at least one bed at the centre besides other medicines should also be made available at the centre.
Meanwhile, Advisor Bhatnagar also visited PHC Tikri and examined the functioning of the health centre. He directed the concerned officers to upgrade the medical infrastructure at the centre in view of the pandemic COVID-19 besides other medical facilities should be made available at the centre for the convenience of general public.
During the visit to PHC, Tikri, Advisor Bhatnagar interacted with Chairman BDC Tikri, Sarpanch and other PRI members. The Advisor while interacting with them assured all possible help in view of covid-19 and asked them to continue their efforts required for the overall development of the district.
Later on, the Advisor visited District Hospital Udhampur and took stock of arrangements put in place in view of the Pandemic Covid-19.
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib, SSP, Sargun Shukla, President Municipal Council Udhampur, Dr. Jogeshwar Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Dr K C Dogra, Medical Superintendent, Dr Vijay Raina and other officers were accompanying the Advisor.
During the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar inspected different sections of the hospital and took stock of preparedness of the district administration towards combating the spread of Corona Virus in the district. He took a detailed review of the available infrastructure and requisite facilities in the designated Covid Care Centres and also inspected the Home Isolation facility being provided to Corona virus patients.
