It is Nehru’s ‘contribution’ that India simmering till date: Kavinder

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 27: Hitting out at the Congress’ J&K Chief G.A Mir on his statement on Jawaharlal Nehru, senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said it is the ‘contribution’ of ‘Chachaji’ that India in general and Kashmir in particular is still simmering and despite colossal efforts by PM Narendra Modi led BJP government things are taking time to come back on tracks.
Reacting sharply to Mir’s remark that Nehru laid foundation of modern India, the former Deputy Chief Minister said what Panditji gifted to India was in contrast to what Congress leader is ‘professing’.
“Nehru gave unending miseries to India and a ‘canker’ named Kashmir-imbroglio, the root cause of pain and anguish of J&K’s aboriginals living on either side of LoC; partition, which cut short the boundaries of India and brought death and destruction to lakhs of men, women and children in 1947, embarrassment from the country situated on the other side of Himalayas- China, and a legacy of dynastic rule and politics of Loot Khasoot”, Kavinder said, adding that what Nehru did to country needs to be concealed from the world to avoid embarrassment rather than what JKPCC chief in the UT is doing.
He said another Nehru in the country will spoil the same forever with no scope to revive or refurbish.
“There is not an iota of doubt that Nehru destroyed the erstwhile State of J&K as well as the country by toeing the policies which were egoist and highly self-centered. The history speaks truth that Nehru never stood for Satyagrah and was overtly on the side of British Empire and did exactly opposite to what was the need at that time.
The senior BJP leader asserted that Nehru’s Congress did nothing except looting the nation to the hilt and the pain of Congress leaders has come to fore in the statement of G.A Mir, who wants another spell of looting the country under someone who is akin to Nehru.
