Early Times Report

Kathua, May 27: Former minister and president DCC Kathua Manohar lal Sharma wrote a letter to LG where by requesting him to pass the order for immediate setting up of Oxygen generation plant at Sub District Hospital Billawar.
While speaking he said he said we welcome the govt. order for setting/installation of Oxygen Generation plants at 15 different hospitals vide order no DHSJ/PLG/WB-Era/2021-22/440-460, Dt 24-05-21 during present time of COVID pandemic, but showed disappointment on exclusion of Billawar Sub District hospital in the list.
Further he said that in the wake of Corona Virus pandemic outbreak and daily rising cases in the area, Billawar is in dire need of medical oxygen and setting up of oxygen generation plant at Billawar SDH will ensure round the clock availability of life saving oxygen gas which in turn will save lives of many critical patients.
Also note that people of adjoining areas of Lohai Malhar, Ramkote, Gurha Kalyal, Mahanpur, Macheddi, Duggani , part of Udhampur district also approached to Billawar SDH for any medical emergency and Sub District Hospital Billawar caters population of around 2 lacs of Billawar & adjoining mentioned areas. In addition setting up of Oxygen generation plant at Billawar will reduce the load on district hospital Kathua and patients in dire need of oxygen need not to run to DH Kathua.
