District Development Council Doda discusses modalities for finalization of Capex Budget 2021-22

DODA, May 27: To discuss the modalities for the formulation of developmental plan under District Capex Budget 2021-2022, District Development Council, Chairperson Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal chaired a meeting of Council members and concerned District officers here at conference Hall of DC Office Complex Doda.
Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Rani Bhagat; Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; (CEO District Development Council), DDC members, BDC Chairpersons, Chief Planning officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, besides other District officers and XEns were present in the meeting. At the outset, the Additional District Development Commissioner apprised the council members about the guidelines for the formulation of the plan under the District Capex budget 2021-22, The members were advised to utilise the sanctioned grants judiciously under District Development plan and BDC plan in coordination with the departments. He informed the District Dev Council members about various areas of viable interest that shall be given special thrust while formulating the respective plans as per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department. While speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson urged all the DDC members, BDC Chairpersons and District officers to coordinate with each other in devising the plans on rational basis and without any bias to maintain the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj Institution. He also asked them to ensure that the maximum people at grassroots level get the benefit of works.
He further asked the District Development Council members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works.
Asking them to focus on the larger developmental projects, the DDC chairperson stressed on time bound implementation of all the schemes. He further asked the BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanches to submit their respective plans at the earliest.
