Briefing the media persons about the covid situation in the district she said against 236 Panchayats Covid facility has been created in 210.
These centres are fully equipped with requisite facilities which include 5 beds, medicine, face mask, oxygen concentrator, hygiene food, toilet etc and will be made available for the Covid positive persons in rural areas who lack much space for isolation in Home.

In case of any emergency the Administration will also provide ambulance service to the patient. She further said that this is a very big achievement of the government with the PRIs playing vital role in the establishment of Covid Care Centres.
The district administration, she said, is also going to start a telemedicine facility in the district hospital Udhampur through which people can seek medical consultation from reputed doctors, while sitting at home as it would help to save their time and money. She said that the trial of this service is going on and it will start soon. A meeting in this regard will be conducted with the concerned Panchayat members for seeking their cooperation in facilitating the access of the facility to maximum people.
