Global Human Rights Trust holds cleanliness drive in Pancheri area | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 13: A cleanliness drive was held in Deodar Jungle of Pancheri area by young activists of Pancheri in district Udhampur under the banner of Global Human Rights Trust. After cleaning the spot, the waste materials were segregated into degradable and non-degradable items. Sanjeev Singh, Secretary Global Human Rights Trust, encourage tourists to drop trash only in dustbins and refrain from littering the space. “It is essential to keep the entire area neat and clean to promote tourism in these areas and it will attract more tourists,” he said. Abhishek Singh also aware the tourist about the cleanliness of this area and requested them to put all garbage in dumping pits. Devika Thakur of Pancheri who is currently studying BSc from Kota University, Rajasthan said that cleanliness and sanitation were very close to the heart of the father of the nation and in this way we should maintain cleanliness in our surrounding areas Paritosh Thakur said, “Several programmes should be organized like cleanliness week at Tehsil level or District level, Essay-Painting competitions, seminars which will serve as major steps towards making Swachhta-a people’s movement.” |
