Policeman beats shopkeeper for refusing to give goods on credit, video goes viral | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, June 13: A video about a policeman beating a shopkeeper in Surankote area has gone viral on social media. “A policeman enters a shop and pulls out a shopkeeper. When the shopkeeper returns to close his shop policeman appears again and starts beating him up and gives him two slaps,” the video shows. The shopkeeper when contacted said, “A policeman deployed in Surankote was demanding goods on credit for him but I refused. He beat me up to take revenge.” He appealed to Lieutenant Governor to take action against the policeman, who took the laws in his hand and punished him physically. “is refusing to give credit a crime?” the shopkeeper asked. “I have been humiliated,” he added. Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch Dr. Vinod Kumar in a statement said that he has watched the video and will take appropriate action under law. |
