JAMMU, June 18: On the eve of Rahul Gandhi’s Birthday, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress distributed free ration among the needy people across at Lower Roop Nagar, Raipur Domana Assembly, Jammu, on Friday. The ration distribution drive was organized by Udhay Bhanu Chib, President Jammu and Kashmir Youth Congress.
In a statement issued to media here today, Udhay Chib said that Youth Congress has decided to celebrate the birthday of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a low key affair and confining to organize programmes for helping the poor and needy people amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. He said that this is being done to keep up with the party high command having decided to observe the day by reaching out to the people in distress due to COVID-19 pandemic and address their concerns by providing them the much needed succour and relief.
The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Congress President said that he has also apprised the Party’s senior leaders about the relief and succour provided to the needy people during the second wave of Covid-19.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir Youth Congress had distributed thousands of food packets among the needy and poor besides serving food to the attendants of patients at several government hospitals in the City of Temples. He added that besides providing ration, the workers and activists of the party also donated blood during various blood donation camps.
