People agitated over irregular water supply : Sat 6/18/2021 11:04:51 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 18: : A series of deputations hailing from various areas of Jammu West met Former BJP State President Sat Sharma and apprised him of the problem of irregular water supply being faced by the residents of Kamla Palace road, Lakkarmandi area of Janipur and adjoining areas where people are facing acute shortage of water supply. The people asked the BJP leader to immediately intervene in the problem and solve it as soon as possible. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that in this extreme summer season there will be demand of water and electricity for which officials have been informed about the scenario and they have been told to keep in view the demands of inhabitants of every area of Jammu West so that none of the inhabitants from all 26 wards of the Assembly segment face any problem concerning water and electricity in scorching summers. He said that the departments has assured that the problem will be solved on priority and wherever necessary the pending works will be done in the area and other wards to provide fresh drinking water to people covering every household. He stated that there were some areas which were facing problems with power cuts but that thing has been resolved which has provided relief to people. He also stated that summers are the time when the need of both water and electricity arises and from quite some time the public has been facing these issues which will create problems in the future. He asked the concerned departments to solve these problems and create a strategy for overcoming these problems so that such type of situation does not occur in future. District General Secretary BJP Rajesh Gupta led one of the deputations.
