Jammu, June 20: Under the Thursday Minds-Meet program, an online discussion on the cultural and historical heritage of Udhampur was organized at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. In the beginning, Dr. Anil Kumar Tewari, Faculty-in-Charge, University Social Responsibility, SMVDU, welcomed the guests. Sh. Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Registrar, SMVDU, shared his experiences as an Additional Divisional Commissioner in Udhampur. The renowned speakers of the event included Ashok Sharma, Senior Lecturer, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, Prakash Premi, Writer & Poet, Udhampur, Swaran Singh, Teacher and Poet, Basantgarh, Dr. Neelam Sareen, Scholar of Dogri literature, Sumer Khajuria, Poet and Writer, Advocate, Udhampur, Anil Paba, Director, Amar Santosh Museum, Udhampur, and Medhavi Sharma, Student & Painter, National Institute Design, Ahmedabad, who is also an alumna of SMVDU. The speakers presented their viewpoints and given information regarding various heritage sites and cultural practices. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Virendra Bangroo, Director, IGNCA Regional Centre of J&K, SMVDU Campus.
