SCC beats Sunderbani XI by 139 runs in Ist match of series

AKHNOOR, June 21: To promote cricket in Akhnoor Sub Division and Rajouri District, a three-match cricket series started between Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and Sunderbani XI. The series is organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under supervision of Kr Sham Singh Langeh (General Secretary JKCA District Jammu). The first match of series was played today at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor.
In the first match Singh Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first SCC scored 240/9 in 30 Overs in which Sunil Benny Scored crucial 75 not out in just 59 ball with 5 huge sixes other top contributions are of Sumit Rajput 40 (19), Sahil Mishra 37(22), Bhupinder Singh 15(13), Stephen Sotra 33(28), Abhi Verma 14(15). From Sunderbani XI Amandeep, Harshit and Anil Shared 2 wicket each while Atul and Ashu took 1 wicket each.
While chasing the huge total Sunderbani XI managed to score only 101 losing all wickets in 18.4 overs. From Sunderbani XI Vishu scored 39, Pankaj 15, Ashu 23. From Singh Cricket Club Sunil Bendy took 4 wickets, Binny got 3, Kr.Sham Singh got 2 and Abhinandan got 1 wicket.
Sunil Bendy was declared man of the Match for his extraordinary performance with bat and bowl both. The match resulted in Singh Cricket Club beated Sunderbani XI by 139 runs. Vikas Bali and Rajinder Sharma were umpires while Manav Mehta was scorer.
