Displaced Kashmiris urge central, JKUT govts to settle issues of migrants

JAMMU, June 21: A virtual meeting of Kashmiri migrants was held today under the leadership of Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan, in which a number of well qualified professionals including doctors, engineers, CAs, Managers and unemployed youth from Jammu and other states of India participated. Various burning problems of Kashmir Samaj refugees were discussed , who are living as nomads in their own country and alleged that internally displaced people have been always discriminated against for the last 31 years. While addressing the virtual meeting of executive body members showed lot of resentment concern over the delay in resolving issues and members said all successive govt have failed to provide justice in 31 years and demanded the internally displaced refugees should not be ignored in future for want of permanent settlement and other decisions meant for welfare of people for them also fulfilling the schemes with implementing of policies. They urged the central and UT govt to redressed various genuine grievances on humanitarian grounds on priority.
The members demanded enhancement of the monthly cash relief assistance with free medical aid, 40% of permanent share in job reservation and creation of additional 35000 posts in various of central and UT Govt departments in lieu of 25000 retired migrant employees for immediate absorbance with implementing of all central employees benefits schemes and policIes with complete facilities of accommodations, sanction of loan under centre skill development programme and PM self employment with special relaxation in soft loans scheme for setting up small business / SSI venture / MSME unit with one time compensation of 25 lakhs to over aged youths, who could not get jobs during the turmoil of migration, implementation of minority status pattern and central and national scholarship schemes to students with 50% of reserved seats in institution along with concession of 40% marks besides raising other demands. Those executive body members who spoke in the virtual meeting included Er RC Mahajan, Sunil Bhat, Pawan Chopra, Er RK Bhan, Er VK Pandita, and others.
