CE PMGSY reviews progress of Mantalai-Latti road projects

JAMMU, June 21: Chief Engineer Prime Minister Grameen Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) along with all the subordinate staff made a visit along with BDC Chairman Chenani Pra kash Chand and sarpanches of block Chenani and Latti Dudu to take stock of the ongoing construction, maintenance and macadamization of roads in these areas. While interacting with the public representatives and contractors who have been entrusted to complete the said works the Chief Engineer PMGSY indicated that the work has already been going on for the last few days on Mantalai- Latti road and instructed the concerned firms and individuals to complete the same within a stipulated time of three months, as worthy Deputy Commissioner Udhampur has desired the same for the convenience of the public of this far flung area who have been suffering a lot due to the dilapidated conditions of these roads. While taking stock of the PMGSY roads including Bupp- Sira-Latti a 15 kms stretch the team also promised to the public that their long pending problems shall be over. The other notable roads that were visited include Gaokan to Garsoli, Sudhmahadev to Mantalai, Kosar to Gondi, Mantalai to Gamasto, Bupp to Barkunda and Sira to Kolakh.
The BDC chairman Chenani and sarpanchs of block Chenani and Latti- Dudu hailed the sympathetic approach of worthy DC Udhampur and thanked her worthy self for considering the plight of general public of these far-flung areas and making the concerned department and authorities to initiate the construction of these roads immediately. The public representatives and DDC chairman Chenani also thanked officials of PMGSY for taking personal efforts and for personally visiting these areas to take stock of the ongoing work. The public of Chenani-Latti-Dudu areas also appreciate the efforts of local representatives for their timely intervention and highlighting of their problems and hoped that the promise that all these works would be completed within a period of three months means a lot to them and they would love to see it happen on ground level.
In this regard already two meetings of all PRIs of Chenani and Latti Dudu blocks have been held at Panchayt Sarar and Latti and review meeting shall also be held at Panchat Dudu on 27th of June 2021 to take the stock of work on ground regarding the road of Mantalai-Latti-Dudu.
