| YCET conducts grand finale of Digital Toycathon 2021 | | |

Jammu, Jun 25: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology ( YCET ), Jammu has been selected by MIC/AICTE as the only Nodal Centre for hosting Digital Toycathon 2021 Grand Finale in UT of J & K from 22nd June to 24th June, 2021. Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from AICTE, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
Under the PM Modi’s ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’, Toycathon-2021 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos. Toycathon 2021 is a unique opportunity for Students, Teachers, Start-ups and Toy experts/professionals in India to submit their innovative toys/games concepts and win large number of prizes worth Rs. 50 lakhs.
At YCET Nodal Centre during Toycathon 21 total 20 teams participated and they presented and demonstrated their toys digitally. During 3 days the participants went through mentoring session, Coding / Toy Building and the evaluation. Finally, based on the evaluation process, teams were shortlisted by evaluators and the list submitted to AICTE. The final result will be announced on 26th June, 2021.
Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the participants of seven teams of Toycathon 2021 from all over the country during 11.00 AM to 12.00 Noon. He motivated and encouraged all the participants and gave his suggestions to improve upon it.
