JAMMU, June 24: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah today organiZed a Blood donation camp at village Jindrah under the supervision of a team from the Blood Bank of Government Medical College Jammu. The campaign was well organized by Dr Sunil Sharma, Programme Officer, NSS unit of GDC Jindrah under the guidance of Prof Rajshree Dhar, the Principal of GDC Jindrah. The programme was initiated by planting saplings of different plants like Mango, Guava, Litchi, Lagat etc. The NSS volunteers of GDC Jindrah enthusiastically participated in the donation camp. Volunteers namely Priya Jamwal, Diksha Jamwal, Varun, Aman, Riya Jamwal and Ishika Sharma donated blood. Not only the students of college but also the locals participated in this blood donation camp. A few to be named are Ram Singh, Maheshwar Jamwal, Anil Sharma, Vikram Singh, Ajay Sharma, Vikrant Singh and Prince Sharma. The people of the area very attentively heard the programme as their myths about donating blood were resolved by the team of doctors. Today’s campaign was compiled by Dr Seema. The NSS volunteers of GDC Jindrah actively participated in the event and gave the message to the society to donate blood as it can save lives. |
