Red Cross holds blood donation camp in collaboration with 45 Bn. CRPF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Indian Red Cross Society, UT Headquarters of Jammu & Kashmir organised a Blood Donation camp in collaboration with 45 BN. of CRPF in Sumbal, Bandipora. The camp was inaugurated by Iqbal Ahmad, Commanding Officer, CRPF 45 Bn in presence of officials of Indian Red Cross Society and Govt Lalla Ded Hospital, Srinagar. 50 officers and jawans donated blood on the occasion and the blood was collected by Blood Bank, Govt. Lalla Ded Hospital, Srinagar. The blood donation camps are being organised by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu and Kashmir on the directions of Mr. Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, IAS (Retd.) throughout the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Rizvi conveyed his appreciation to the blood donors for their noble sentiment and selfless human services and assured that Red Cross shall continue its efforts in organising more such camps keeping in view the blood requirements of the hospitals during the ongoing pandemic. Speaking on the occasion, Iqbal Ahmad, Commanding Officer, CRPF 45 Bn. thanked the selfless services of officers and jawans who volunteered for the blood donation. Mr. Iqbal said that the blood camp was organised so that the needy patients may receive blood well in time and to save their precious lives. Mr. Iqbal lauded the efforts of Red Cross for organizing the camps with CRPF and informed that CRPF shall hold more such camps with Red Cross in future.
