Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) An unclaimed bag, which created panic in Lasjan bypass in Srinagar outskirts this morning, contained clothes, official sources said.
They said that a suspicious bag was found by the Road Opening Party (ROP) of security forces near Lasjan bypass in Srinagar outskirts this morning. “A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately summoned to check the content of the bag,” they said. They said during checking by BDS, it was found that the bag contained clothes. “The security forces deployed in the area to prevent anyone from coming near the spot have been withdrawn,” they added.
Meanwhile, security forces have been put on high alert in Srinagar after a police Inspector was shot dead by militants on Tuesday evening in Nowgam area, which is not far away from Lasjan. |
