Jammu, June 25: Amit Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Jammu & Kashmir eGovernance Agency (JaKeGA) today mentioned greater role for Common Service Centres (CSCs) in coming times, especially in the light of ongoing Corona Crisis wherein minimisation of human interface has become the need of the hour. Amit was sharing similar thoughts, as a Key Note Speaker, during inaugural session on “Digital India for Future Cities : Transformation of Urban Livelihood for Next Normal” in Business World Smart Cities 2021 Virtual Conclave wherein Officers from MeiTY, GoI, top experts of the IT Industry and Heads of eGov from different States/UTs participated.
Amit Sharma, CEO JaKeGA talked about the key initiatives taken by the Agency in J&K during past few years which include successfully setting-up of Common Service Center 1.0, State Data Center, eOffice implementation across the board in UT, creating Digital Village Centres, State Services Delivery Gateway (SSDG) for 29 G2C Services, Domicile Application, Mumkin, Awam ki Baat, JK Pulse, JK Sparrow, SWAN, etc which has brought great relief to the citizens of J&K. He explained that JaKeGA has the mandate of steering eGov reforms in J&K and this premier eGov Agency of the UT has been proudfully doing so and lived upto the expectations of public in yester years and intends to do much more for public good in coming times.

He said that Team JaKeGA has already been directed to develop such linkage tools in a time-bound manner for successful launch of this Model, as this is the vision of entire Union Territory Administration led by none other than Hon’ble LG, J&K himself.
