Sham Langar demands comprehensive relief package for traders | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Sham Lal Langar, Convener Trade and Industries Cell, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir has appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to announce a comprehensive relief package for the traders and so that they are able to tide over the economic losses suffered by them since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the country. In a statement issued to media here today, Langar said that the traders including shopkeepers have suffered huge losses during the lockdown amid the first wave of the pandemic and then again during the second wave amid Corona Curfew. He claimed that a substantial number of traders along with their families and employees are virtually at the verge of starvation. As such there is a dire need for addressing their concerns by announcing a comprehensive relief package so that they are able to sustain their business activity which is their only source of income on which their survival is dependent, Langer asserted. The BJP’s Convener Trade and Industries Cell, Jammu and Kashmir said that the government knows fully that traders across the Union Territory of J&K help it by creating huge employment potential and in such a situation it becomes inevitable for the government to address this serious concern of the trading community at the earliest by rolling out a well tailored result oriented policy. Besides, he also appealed to the government to show its serious concern towards the transporters including auto and mini-buses drivers. |
