SRINAGAR, June 25: With 871 COVID-19 affected patients getting recovered in the past 24 hours the recovery rate in Jammu & Kashmir reached 96.67 percent. Following 498 new cases the total number of positive cases reached 3, 13,974; with seven fresh deaths the death toll reached 4,291. Reasi district reported 96 cases followed by Srinagar district 82, Kupwara district 44, Baramulla district 35, Budgam district 31, Kulgam district 29, Doda district 25, Anantnag district 21, Kishtwar district 19, Ramban district 17, Ganderbal and Poonch districts 16 each, Bandipora district 15, Pulwama district 13, Rajouri district 11, Jammu district 10, Udhampur district nine, Kathua district four, Shopian district three and Samba district two cases. The Jammu & Kashmir administration through the media bulletin informed that 498 new positive cases of novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), 209 from Jammu division and 289 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 3, 13,974. Also, seven COVID-19 deaths have been reported, five from Jammu division and two from Kashmir division. Moreover, 871 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 334 from Jammu division and 537 from Kashmir division. One new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported today thus bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 28. Besides this, 81 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu & Kashmir. Out of 3, 13,974 positive cases, 6,157 are active positive, 3, 03,526 have recovered and 4,291 have died; 2,092 in Jammu division and 2,199 in Kashmir division. Out of 97, 27,679 test results available, 94, 13,705 samples have tested negative till date. Till date 23, 77,154 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 23,382 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 6,157 in isolation and 2, 11,996 in home surveillance. Besides, 21, 31,328 persons have completed their surveillance period. The bulletin said that Srinagar has 69,606 positive cases, 1,084 active positive, 67,698 recovered, 824 deaths; Baramulla has 23,151 positive cases, 480 active positive, 22,393 recovered, 278 deaths; Budgam has 22,446 positive cases, 473 active positive, 21,771 recovered, 202 deaths; Anantnag district has 15,957 positive cases, 353 active positive, 15,406 recovered, 198 deaths; Pulwama has 14,790 positive cases, 335 active positive, 14,267 recovered, 188 deaths. “Kupwara has 13,693 positive cases, 412 active positive, 13,120 recovered, 161 deaths; Kulgam has 10,976 positive cases, 232 active positive, 10,630 recovered, 114 deaths; Ganderbal has 9,521 positive cases, 201 active positive, 9,244 recovered, 76 deaths; Bandipora has 9,232 positive cases, 186 active positive, 8,946 recovered, 100 deaths and Shopian has 5,545 positive cases, 21 active positive, 5,466 recovered, 58 deaths,” reads the bulletin. The bulletin said that Jammu has 52,327 positive cases, 684 active positive, 50,512 recovered, 1,131 deaths; Udhampur has 11,126 positive cases, 107 active positive, 10,888 recovered, 131 deaths; Rajouri has 10,647 positive cases, 220 active positive, 10,210 recovered, 217 deaths; Kathua has 9,180 positive cases, 49 active positive, 8,982 recovered, 149 deaths; Samba has 7,051 positive cases, 68 active positive, 6,865 recovered, 118 deaths. “Doda has 6,741 positive cases, 513 active positive, 6,116 recovered, 112 deaths; Poonch has 6,044 positive cases, 267 active positive, 5,689 recovered, 88 deaths; Ramban has 5,788 positive cases, 122 active positive, 5,604 recovered, 62 deaths; Reasi has 5753 positive cases, 224 active positive, 5,487 recovered, 42 deaths and Kishtwar has 4,400 positive cases, 126 active positive, 4,232 recovered, 42 deaths,” reads the bulletin. Out of 3, 13,974 positive cases in J&K, 22,179 have been reported as travelers. The bulletin has informed the people that the best way to protect themselves from COVID-19 is by maintaining physical distance of at least two meters from others, frequently cleaning hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer or washing them with soap and water and following good respiratory etiquette and hygiene. As a measure for social distancing in public places and workplaces wearing a face cover is compulsory. |
