Srinagar, June 25: Two women were on Friday killed in separate road accidents in Kashmir valley, official sources said.
They said a woman was hit and critically injured by a vehicle at Bramri in Kupwara on Friday evening. “The injured was immediately taken to District Hospital Handwara where she was declared brought dead,” they said.
They said a case has been registered and investigation has been taken up. “The identity of the woman is being ascertained,” they added. In another incident, a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Tangnar area, resulting in on the spot death of a woman. “The woman, identified as Saima Rasheed, and her family were returning from tourist resort of Doodhpathri when they stopped for refreshment at Tangnar,” they said. |
