JAMMU, June 29: Directorate of Information and Public Relation’s culture wing, in collaboration with Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Udhampur today organised a webinar on Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour. The Principal of host School, Sumit Mehra was the Chief Guest and Joint Director Information, Namrita Dogra was Guest of Honour, while U S Meshram, Vice Principal of the Host school was special guest. Madhubala PGT English, Pooja TGT Hindi, Sudipta Bhattacharya TGT English of the host School were Judges. As many as 20 students participated in the webinar, which started with Sarawati Vandana by Abhaas Sharma. The proceedings were conducted by Sanjay Kumar, PGT Hindi and coordinated by Suresh Kumar, Cultural Assistant, Cultural wing Jammu, under guidance Parul Khajuria, Cultural officer, Jammu. The participants and speakers expressed and shared their views on the topic and emphasized on the importance of following Covid safety SoPs and guidelines to prevent spread of corona virus. In her address, the Joint Director Information Jammu said that the aim of organizing such programmes is to generate mass awareness about various aspects of Covid Appropriate Behaviour. She said the Culture wing of DIPR played an important role in spreading awareness amid the pandemic through jingles, songs and skits on covid appropriate behaviour. Gudia of class 9th C was adjudged as best speaker, Ishanavi Sharma of 9th D bagged 2nd position and Abhay Thakur 12th-A clinched the 3rd position, Barsha Priya Darshani Parhi 12th-B, got 4th position, while Madhumita 10th D stood 5th.
