Henchmen of separatists left jobless in Kashmir
Crackdown on Hawala channels crippled Pak stooges
6/29/2021 11:36:53 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, June 29: The death of separatism in Kashmir has left the henchmen of separatists without any work as the easy money, which they used to get to foment trouble, has stopped flowing.
According to the details available with Early Times, Pakistan used to pump in huge money into the Valley to fund separatists and their aides.
Investigating agencies during probes have revealed that the Hawala money was used to reach Kashmir through different channels. It was distributed among the ring leaders of the separatist outfits to lure the youth for disruptive activities.
“After the National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched a crackdown against the separatists many glaring facts came to fore. The separatism in Kashmir had turned into a full-fledged industry with people associated with Hurriyat and others being paid a monthly salary on a regular basis,” said a source.
He said, “Funds were distributed under different heads, these included office expenditure, stone-pelting, financing militants and other activities.”
The source said that the separatist leaders used to keep a huge chunk of money for their own use. “During the past 30-years the separatists purchased huge properties, including mansions and big cars.
They used to keep their bosses happy by issuing anti-national statements on daily basis and whenever they used to get a chance to foment trouble they never used to miss it,” the source added.
He said after August 5, 2019—when the Centre announced its decision to abrogate J&K’s special status and bifurcate it into two union territories—situation in Kashmir has changed for the good. “Not a single protest, strike or chalo call on shutdown has been witnessed in Kashmir during the past two years. Ones who used to implement the directions of the separatists for the sake of money have taken up menial jobs to feed themselves. The illegal money pumped by Pakistan into Kashmir was one of the biggest reasons for Kashmir turning into a hell. But now things have changed as separatists, who used to preach sedition and sell illusions, don’t exist anymore.”
