Jammu, June 29: Sahitya Akademi New Delhi under its webline literature series ‘Literary Forum’ programme today organized sahitya manch in which famous literary poets, story writers and critics of Dogri language gave their highly captivating presentations. The program was coordinated by Dr. N Suresh Babu, Deputy Secretary, Sahitya Akademi. The programme was started with the literary journey of Deshbandhu Dogra Nutan, a well-known novelist, critic and senior litterateur, who was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in Dogri language followed by the experiences of literary journey of Sahitya Akademi Awardee Om Vidyarthi who is a famous poet of Dogri language and famous litterateur. The programme further included the poetry recitation by the famous poet of Dogri language Abdul Qadir Kundria with the titles ‘Makheer’ ‘Macchar’ ‘Irkh’ and Picche lageya Baar Corona’ in which he captivated the mind of the audience, while Professor Archana Kesar, a well-known critic, linguist and story writer of Dogri language, recited the story. The programme was ended with the speech of Sahitya Akademi's Deputy Secretary and convener of this programme Dr. Suresh Babu who threw light on the initiatives taken by the Akademi to promote Dogri language through various methods.
