| Webinar on “Blockchain Technology and its applications” held | | |

Reasi, Jun 29: Government Polytechnic College Reasi today organized a Webinar on the topic “Blockchain Technology and its applications”.
The webinar was attended by the faculty and students of the college. The resource person for the event was Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor at School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
The event was organized in connection with “New emerging Technologies in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology”. The webinar was organized to create awareness among the students about the new emerging technologies like Blockchain Technology and its need in current digital world.
The programme started with the welcome address by Vivek Mahajan, Principal of the College. In his welcome address, he gave a detailed introduction of the resource person and also advised participants to take full advantage of the knowledge and experience of the resource person by listening to him carefully.
The resource person in his presentation mainly focused on the concept of Blockchain Technology and discussed the various terms and concepts used in this technology. He also gave a brief introduction of Bitcoin and Etherium blockchains, currently used in digital market.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Vivek Mahajan, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic College Reasi. At the end of programme, various questions were raised by the participants and were nicely answered by the resource person. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Sanjay Koul, HoD, Govt. Polytechnic College Reasi.
