Jammu, June 29: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday condemned the alleged forcible interfaith marriage of Sikh girl with an elderly man in the Kashmir Valley.
While interacting with a Sikh members’ delegation which called on the BJP leader at his residence, he said that such unwarranted actions under a well knit conspiracy by some unscrupulous elements in the Valley will not be tolerated and he will soon take up the matter with the concerned quarters in the government to safeguard the rights of minorities in J&K.
The deputation, reposing faith in the leadership of Kavinder Gupta, expressed gratitude to the BJP leader for rightfully projecting their issues in the All Party Meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on June 24, 2021.
