Director Law Enforcement conducts surprise inspection of Agri inputs dealers | | | Early Times Report
Samba, June 29: To curb the sale of spurious fertilizers, pesticides and seeds and in order to enforce the laws and rules in vogue as per FCO 1985, Seed act 1966 and Pesticides act 1968,Law enforcement wing conducted an extensive drive today in district Samba and some part of Kathua adjoining to Samba. At the onset of the drive, the team of law enforcement functionaries headed by Director Law Enforcement, J&K, Dr B K Chandan accompanied by Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Roshan lal Bhagat and Law enforcement Inspectors Samba and Kathua, Rupinder Bedi and Vijay Abrol inspected and checked of agricultural inputs dealers of Gagwal, Rajbagh, Chadwal, Dayala Chak and Sanji more of Kathua district. The Director law Enforcement JK directed all the dealers of agricultural inputs to display the licences as well as sale rate and maintain stock and sale registers of various inputs as mandated under different acts and rules. He further stressed upon them to supply only quality inputs to farming community aimed towards doubling of farmers’ income as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Assistant Director Law Enforcement Jammu along with team of enforcement inspectors issued on spot instructions to dealers to strictly adhere the rules and procedures in vogue. Inspections notes and warnings were also issued to concerned dealers in respect of shortcomings detected on the spots. The Dealers were also warned that any body as and when found selling spurious agricultural inputs or found indulging in hoarding, black marketing and over charging shall be brought to book.
