JAMMU, June 29: IFFCO TOKIO Insurance Company in collaboration with Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Jammu organized a mobile campaign under Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) in Jammu district to aware the farmers about the PMFBY scheme. The campaign was flagged off by S. Arvinder Singh Reen, Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu. He appealed to the farmers to come forward and take benefits of the scheme. Under the mobile campaign, all the 20 Blocks comprising 305 panchayats of District Jammu will be covered to promote Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) and also to clear doubts related to the scheme. On this occasion, Vinod Sharma, District Agriculture Officer (Extension), Jammu apprised about the objectives of the campaign. He stressed on the farmers, especially KCC holders, to come forward and take advantage of the scheme. The main objective of the campaign is to disseminate the concept of PMFBY and its benefits among the farming community.
