7/22/2021 11:17:18 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 22: Remembering supreme sacrifices made by Jana Sangh and Praja Parishad leaders for Jammu and Kashmir, Former State President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporator Ward 41 Sanjay Baru felicitated and honored senior citizen Pt. Mela Ram who was a very active leader during Praja Parishad time and worked with stalwarts like Pt. Prem Nath Dogra.
Pertinent to mention, BJP leaders across UT are honoring Jana Sangh and Praja Parishad leaders who rendered their supreme sacrifice for the motherland.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that till now only a small part from the history of Jammu and Kashmir was highlighted at the behest of parties like Congress, NC, PDP and real facts were hidden from the public. He said that the service rendered by the activists of Praja Parishad can never be forgotten as they were the people who started the movement and fought for abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and working on same footsteps of Jana Sangh and Praja Parishad movement, Modi Government abrogated the Article from J&K and it can be witnessed that the era of real development ushered in J&K after their abrogation.
Sanjay Baru said that the efforts made by the Praja Parishad leaders were remarkable and even today their role is immense which even resulted in winning candidates of BJP in Corporation elections. Yash Pal Shivgotra, Onkar Singh Bose and several others were also present.
