AJKLSSS seeks implementation of Mandal Commission recommendations

Jammu, July 22: All J&K Labana Samaaj Sudhar Sabha (AJKLSSS) has appealed the Lieutenant Governor for the implementation of Mandal Commission recommendations.
Addressing media persons, Jagjit Singh appealed the LG for implementation of Mandal Commission recommendations in total for the upliftment of these depressed and downtrodden classes in terms of the Social and Educational Backwardness and bring them at par with the rest of the society in this country.
He elaborated in the press conference that a high power delegation of the Labana Community recently met with the Backward Classes Commission at Srinagar and brought into the notice of the commission the plight of the Labana Community particularly the alarming rise of the unemployment among the Educated Labana Youth in the UT of J&K. He further appealed to the Government to take requisite measures for the implementation of the different schemes at the gross root level for the upliftment of the OBC’s.
In the press conference, the senior members of the Sabha also demanded the Political Reservation for the OBC’s in accordance to their population in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. It was urged to the Delimitation Commission to identify Assembly Constituencies in the UT of J&K where the voters of the OBC communities are in majority and are a deciding factor as they are having a sizable chunk of voters throughout the UT of J&K. It will help a lot in solving many of the problems of OBC communities.

Mohinder Singh, S. Sulakhan Singh and many others.
