Two drown in Kupwara | | | Early Times Report
Baramulla, July 22: A woman and a youth died due to drowning in a water body in the north Kashmir district of Kupwara on Thursday afternoon, official sources said. Fifty-five-year-old Subi Begum and Manzoor Ahmad Reshi (26) were crossing a temporary wooden bridge over Kehmil Nallah when they suddenly lost balance and fell into the water body. However, they were immediately rescued and taken to local hospital where they were declared brought dead. Local residents protested against the incident and demanded a permanent bridge over the nallah in the area.
