JAMMU, July 22: A protest sit-in was held by Jagti Tenement Committee-Soan Kashmir Front (JTC-SKF) J&K at Jagti township Nagrota Jammu. Addressing the protesters JTC-SKF president Shadi Lal Pandita president Jagti JTC-SKF appealed to the LG led administration to cancel the SRO 194 implemented by the government for migrant package employees as it is detrimental for package employees in all respects. Pandita said that instead of making one BHK sets for Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir valley, two BHK sets should be made so that Kashmiri Pandit families can live there. He said that for the return of the Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir valley, an employment package should be announced for the unemployed KP youth and also government jobs should be given in the houses where no educated youth has got a job till date. He said the government should set up townships in the districts of Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag to settle the Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir valley as Kashmiri Pandits will not be able to go to their respective villages.
He also demanded increase in the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month. Others who participated in the protest included Raj Kumar Tickoo, Ravinder Koul, M L Razdan, Rakesh Ambardar, Rakesh Tickoo, Shuban Ji Raina, Vinod Bhat, Kamal Ji Pandita, Vijay Bakshi and Raj Kumar Bhat.
