Arun Deep to take part in selection trials for IFSC World Championship | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 22: Arun Deep Singh, an ace sport climber of J&K left today for Jamshedpur from Delhi to participate in the final selection trials for the IFSC World Youth Championship scheduled to be held at Voronezh, Russia from 21st to 31st August, 2021. The selection trials shall be conducted from 24th to 28th July, 2021 by Tata Steel Adventure Foundation, Jamshedpur on behalf of Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi. Earlier in the preliminary stage, Arun Deep Singh who was already at Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi to prepare for the forthcoming international competitions, participated in the virtual trials on a video call from the selectors. He simply excelled in the speed competition by generating a terrific speed to climb the 15 meter high climbing wall in just 7.80 seconds and thus was shortlisted for the final selection trials at Jamshedpur. Meanwhile, Shivani Charak of J&K, the top ranked sport climber of India, is training rigorously at international standard climbing walls at Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi to prepare fully for her selection for the 18th edition of IFSC World Championship scheduled to be held at Moscow, Russia from 15th to 22nd September, 2021. The selection trials for the World Championship are likely to be conducted at Indian Mountaineering Foundation within a couple of days. |
