Drones galore
7/23/2021 12:07:41 AM
Drones hovering over Jammu region is an indication that militants sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) are not sitting idle.
Initial investigations have revealed that Pakistan is actively supporting the militants still. The ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) has not made much difference as the militant camps are still intact. The drone threat is a serious issue and it cannot be ignored.
Security personnel deployed in the Jammu region have been provided with modern weapons to deal with the drone threat. During the past few days many drones have been sent back. It appears that sending drones is a new strategy that has been adopted by Pakistan and militants sponsored by it. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the drone attacks and the reports suggest that appearance of drones in the skies of Jammu is not possible without the help of Pakistan Army.
When India and Pakistan announced a fresh ceasefire along Line of Control (LoC) in February this year, many people in the country had warned that Pakistan cannot be relied upon as it has always betrayed India.
The recent drone attacks in Jammu are an indication that Pakistan is in no mood to give up and wants to keep the pot boiling. It’s a clear hint that proxy war in J&K is not going to end so soon. In the recent past militants in Kashmir are targeting policemen and their families. The political workers too have become soft targets for the militants. The Pak sponsored militants are choosing easy targets to keep themselves relevant as they are aware of the fact that they cannot take on the security forces directly as they are well equipped and can get killed. At present militants are on the run. They are hiding in rat holes to save their lives. In order to help the militants in J&K, Pakistan has changed its strategy and drone attacks are a part of it.
India’s desire for peace should not be construed as its weakness. It seems time has come for Pakistan to be taught a lesson. If it continues to send drones across the LoC, the terrorist camps need to be attacked so that the terror infrastructure is destroyed. Drone attacks cannot be taken lightly.
