BSF organizes plantation drive | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 26: Border Security Force 92nd Corps organized a plantation drive at Akhnoor camp and Pragwal forward border posts. The plantation drive was started by planting the saplings under the leadership of Virendra Pal Singh, Second Commanding Officer of 92nd Corps. On the occasion, all the personnel, women and children of the Corps enthusiastically participated in the plantation ceremony. Around 500 saplings of all types were planted under the programme. Virendra Pal Singh said that plantation drives have been conducted regularly in the areas. He said that during this rainy season our aim is to plant more and more saplings so that they can grow quickly. Under the Green Campaign of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, there is a provision to plant 15000 saplings by each BSF Corps by the end of this year, 3515 saplings will be planted this year by the Corps. And by the end of this year the target of 15000 saplings will be completed. |
