Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: National School of Drama alumni, theatre, film and TV actor, Ishtiyak Khan featured today in Natrang's National Theatre Talk Show, 'Young Voices of Theatre', on the Facebook page of Natrang where he shared his inspirational thoughts with the global audience.
Today's guest Ishtiyak Khan, born in Panna of Madhya Pradesh is an actor, who is best known for his role as Hariman Tiwari in the film 'Anaarkali of Aarah', as well as portraying 'Chaurasia' in 'Bharat', 'Vasu' (Lawyer from Rohtak) in 'Jolly LLB', 'Sunny' in 'Friday', and 'Munna' in 'Amma Ki Boli'. Apart from this, he did many films and serials in which he played a variety of roles for which he became popular and the larger audience adores him a lot for his great acting prowess. Ishtiyak Khan completed his primary education in Panna, Madhya Pradesh and then joined a theatre group named Bharatiya Jan Natya Sangh (IPTA). He also got the chance to work with the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in ad shoots three times.
In an interesting conversation with Natrang's senior artist Neeraj Kant, Ishtiyak narrated his eventful journey of theatre which started in his childhood. Actor at heart, Ishtiyak asserts that he always thinks like an actor even when he directs a play, acting becomes his prime tool. He expressed concern about the financial stability of actors which is least discussed but is a very important aspect. Moreover, an actor has to do a lot of other projects for financial stability. He believes that there is a need for more plays which connect with masses, so that people come in support of art.
Having acted in both theatre and films, Ishtiyak believes that the difference between acting for different mediums is the difference of technicality rather than feelings and emotions. He believes in working with honesty and integrity. For him observation is a very important tool to imbibe knowledge, to the new entrants he advises to proceed without any pre-thought and build conviction as they gain experience in the field.
