BBIA hails PM’s Mission on export

JAMMU, Aug 7: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has hailed the Prime Minister Mission for increasing export.
A Virtual Meeting with Prime Minister of India was attended by the Stakeholders of Jammu Province in the presence of Anoo Malhotra (KAS), Director of Industries, Jammu at Udyog Bhawan., Jammu yesterday in respect to encourage the Export from India to other countries.
Narendra Modi, informed the participants that Government has set US$400 Billion Merchandise Export target for the Current Financial year and ask the Industrialists to achieve US$400 billion Merchandise Export target for the Current Financial Year to make a concerted attempt to seize the Opportunity.
"We wish to draw the kind attention of Prime Minister towards the problem being faced by the Exporters from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir due to additional Cost of Production as we are sitting at the far end of the Country and also Additional Cost of transportation for sending Finished Goods by Road to nearest Port due to non availability of Inland Container Deport or Dry Port in whole J&K resulting stiff Competition from the Units located near the Port", BBIA members said.
They also requested PM Narendra Modi to kindly grant the Fiscal Incentive in the Shape of Reimbursement of Road Freight to Industrial Units located in J&K for the Export of Good to Nearest Port to encourage the Export of Quality Goods till the creation of necessary Infrastructure for Inland Container Depot and Dry Port to be established in Jammu as well in Kashmir Division.
