Sat appreciates Power Department for solving people's problems

JAMMU, Aug 7: Facing problem of no electricity for several days, a deputation of a large number of people hailing from Christian Colony, Ward 27, Bakshi Nagar met former minister and ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma and apprised him of the problem faced by them for many days.
District General Secretaries Rajesh Gupta and Karan Sharma, District Spokesperson Ravi Kant were also present. The deputation was led by Jarnail Singh Khokhar and Ravinder Birpuria.
After having a fruitful discussion with the inhabitants of the area, Sat Sharma said that hundreds of people living in the area were facing a massive problem concerning the absence of power. He said there was a dire need of changing the transformer in the locality for which he spoke to the concerned authorities including Principal Secretary Power Rohit Kansal, MD and Chief Engineer of the department and taking serious note of the problem being faced by hundreds of residents, the officials have solved their problem and a new transformer has been sent to their area which will solve their days old problem, he added. He appreciated the efforts of the Power department for looking into the grievances of the masses. Sharma also said that the problem of Power from Jammu West Assembly segment has been resolved, new cables are being installed in every ward of the Constituency which has improved the power scenario on Jammu West.
