MIET records best placement season with 150+ offers

JAMMU, Aug 7: The Training and Placement Cell at Model Institute of Engineering and Technology reported its best placement season with 150 offer letters for graduating batch of Engineering students. In total 35 companies hired 122 students with 28 students receiving more than 1 offer. The highest salary package for Engineering students was 13.34 Lakh per annum and the median salary was 4.0 Lakh per annum. This was informed by Dean Training and Placements, Prof. B.C Sharma and Dr. Sahil Sawhney, General Manager Strategic Initiatives in the annual placement report.
The top companies which recruited B. E students included Infineon Technologies, Accenture, Capgemini, Wiley, Infosys, TCS, Planetspark, Byjus, Xenonstack, Wipro Technologies and IndiGrid. Dikshita Sharma from B.E CSE bagged the highest CTC of 13.34 LPA whereas 10 students were offered annual salary package of 10 LPA. Dr. Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIET and Prof. Ankur Gupta, Director MIET congratulated the selected students and expressed gratitude to the companies which hired student from MIET despite of prevailing conditions due to Covid-19. Prof. Ankur Gupta further lauded the quality of the comprehensive placement process put in place by the Training and Placement Cell at MIET which has resulted in setting new placement benchmarks in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
