DC KVS Jammu visits KV Schools in Akhnoor

JAMMU, Aug 7: Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office Jammu, Dr D Manjunath, paid a surprise visit to Kendriya Vidyalaya Nos 1 and 2 Akhnoor today.
At KV No 1 Akhnoor he appreciated the utilization of Bi-Focal pedagogy by one of the science teacher named Rita Bhagat who successfully employed two web cameras from two adjacent directions while teaching online. Furthermore, he appreciated the teachers while they were teaching in their respective classrooms using desktops, notebooks, webcams placed on tripod stands, interactive pads, whiteboards while online teaching. He also started the plantation drive in pursuance to the instructions issued by Govt. of J&K.
At KV No 2 Akhnoor, he praised the implementation of Nipun Bharat initiatives with a focus on literacy and numeracy, with the help of public outreach initiatives like distribution of printed colour workbooks to the parents of class-1 students in person each week, collecting the completed workbooks and returning them with suggestions to improve upon, despite the covid pandemic restrictions. He met and talked with the parents of the students of Class-1 and studied their perspectives. Here also, apart from appreciating the hardwork of the Primary teachers in making Nipun Bharat Programme a success, he appreciated the utilization of Bi-Focal pedagogy by one of the Maths teacher named Dharampal who also successfully employed two web cameras from two adjacent directions while teaching online. He appreciated the efforts of Principal Dr Gurdeep Singh and staff members of KV Nos 1 and 2 Akhnoor.
